Admission Process
Our admission process is designed to be simple and straightforward to help you make the move into our home as worry free as possible
Pre-Admission Assessment
Experienced and qualified members of our team will visit you to carry out a care needs assessment. This is an essential process to allow us to ensure that Cove House is the best place for you and that we can meet your needs and requirements.
Our assessment criteria will cover a full range of health and social needs to ensure we know as much as possible about each individual so we can build the appropriate support plan, it is important that as much information as possible is provided during this process.
Placement Agreement
Once all parties have agreed that Cove House is going to be suitable for you, we will agree on a mutually convenient date for you to move in. You will be advised on what personal items to bring prior to your moving in date, some furniture and larger personal items can be moved in prior to admission if agreed in advance.
You will receive a contract and details about fees and payments.
Moving In Day
Our care team will help to make you as comfortable as possible in your new environment and help you familiarise yourself with the building.
As a new resident a personalised care plan will be created that will detail all your care needs and lifestyle choices. These are regularly updated with input from yourself, family, friends and other professionals involved in your care and wellbeing.
Four Week Review
The first four weeks of any placement is seen as a trial period after which a review will be held to ensure all parties are completely satisfied. Your individual care plan will be discussed and any changes are noted and agreed upon accordingly.
